New Bendix Euro+™ Kits boost convenience and cut costs

September 2024

Reference Releases

The launch of Bendix’s new Euro+™ Kits boosts convenience for installers, by offering high quality Euro+™ disc brake rotors and pads as well as brake wear sensors*, in a single package. For vehicle owners, the kits are also more cost effective than buying the braking components individually.

Each kit includes two brake rotors and pad sets, wear sensors* along with a Euro+™ merchandise bundle that contains microfibre glass and screen cleaning cloths and a keyring.

The kits – both front and rear – are available to suit VW Golf (MK7 and MK8) from 2018 onwards; VW T-Roc (A11) from 2017 onwards; VW TIGUAN (5N) from 2018 to current and BMW X3 (G01) from 2017 to current and includes M-Sports package vehicles. Additional vehicle models will be added to the range in the coming months.

Euro+™ disc brake rotors feature the very latest in braking technology and manufacturing processes and feature high carbon metallurgy which ensures increased rotor strength at elevated temperatures as well as higher wear resistance.

The range also meets strict ‘E+’ Original Equipment Fit requirements, which specifies stringent design, construction, and performance requirements and test protocols.

Complementing the Euro+™ disc rotors are Euro+™ disc brake pads, which are designed specifically to work best as a package and offer superior braking for European vehicles, while delivering low dust operation that keep rims cleaner. Their braking performance in most cases exceeds OE equivalents.

Other benefits of the pads include Bendix’s ‘Blue Titanium Stripe’ which provides the ideal rotor to pad surface combination, ensuring optimum stopping power from the outset without the need for bedding in, saving installation time. Workshops also gain efficiency by only needing to order single kit(s), rather than multiple components. Bendix’s ‘SwiftFit’ protection coating also saves time, as the rotors can be installed without precleaning.

Selecting the correct Euro+™ Kit

Given the many braking options available for the listed Volkswagen models, which in many cases sees a certain brake pad variant fit different rotor types, installers are encouraged to take care when ordering.

To ensure the correct kit is selected, it’s recommended that technicians refer to the vehicle’s PR (Production) Code.

Similar to a VIN, the PR Code is also unique to each car and identifies each piece of equipment installed to the vehicle; normally the code comprises of three characters using a mix of letters and numbers.

PR Codes are written on decals at several locations on the car depending on the make and model. The first place to look though, is in the front pages of the vehicle’s service/maintenance booklet or owner’s manual.

Additionally, PR Code decals can also be found in the boot under the carpet at the spare wheel well. If in doubt, contact the manufacturer or local dealership.

*If required for the model.
