The final round of the 2024 Supercars Championship saw Bendix Racing head down to South Australia for the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500. The Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit would host Race 23 and Race 24 of the 2024 championship with Nick Percat behind the wheel of the Bendix Racing Camaro.
The first practice session would end Thursdays on-track activity with Nick going 3rd fastest with a best time of 1:20.008. Practice 2 would kick off on Friday afternoon where Nick would claim the 11th fastest time among the pack after a 1:19.922 best lap. Qualifying for Race 23 would then cap off Friday which would see Nick earn himself a 19th starting spot on the grid for Saturdays race. Unfortunately like a number of drivers, Nick in the Bendix Racing Camaro was not able to set a time after an incident ended the qualifying session early.
Saturday would start with the third practice session of the weekend with Nick going 21st fastest with a 1:20.879 best time. The Top Ten Shootout would then finalise starting positions before the green lights would go out on Race 23 in the late afternoon. After 78 laps of Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit, Nick would send the Bendix Racing Camaro home to a 14th place race result.
Sunday’s festivities would commence with Race 24 Qualifying which would see Nick claim a 9th place start after making it into the Top Ten Shootout for Race 24. The final race for the year would kick off later in the afternoon and after a hard-fought race, Nick would end the year with a P5 race result for the Bendix Racing Camaro.
With the 2025 Championship in the books, we see Nick Percat finish the year with a solid 8th place on the leader-board and 1830 points. In the team standings, Matt Stone Racing ends 2025 at 7th in place on the leader-board with a total of 3415 points.
The 2025 Supercars Championship begins early next year when the series heads to New South Wales for the 2025 Sydney 500, running from February 20th – 23rd.
