The green lights would go off on Race 15 later in the evening and after 51 hard-fought laps around Sydney Motorsport Park, Nick would bring the Bendix Camaro home in the Top Ten with a P7 finish. Nick had the following say to round out Saturday’s efforts.

Nick Percat: “It was a good day for us. Great to be in the Shootout; didn’t quite have the speed of the guys at the front to try and get on the podium. I thought between sixth and eighth was probably where we should have landed. A bit disappointed to get done in the last couple of laps there and lose a couple of spots but the boys did a good job. The car is close but need a bit of a tune up tonight to try and get to the front four. Overall a positive day.”

Sunday’s Supercars festivities would begin with Race 16 Qualifying and would see Nick claim a spot in that day’s Top Ten Shootout yet again, finishing in the Top Three with a P3 qualifying result. The Top Ten Shootout would shortly afterwards with Nick Percat earning himself a P3 start on the grid for Saturday’s finale with a best time of 1m30.033s. Race 16 would cap off the Sydney round and would see Nick end the weekend with another Top Ten finishing, claiming a P8 finish. Nick had the following to say to wrap up Bendix Racing’s weekend in Sydney.

Nick Percat: “It was a pretty successful weekend for the whole of MSR. The Bendix car was really fast in qualifying trim; we saw that all weekend — second in practice, provisionally fourth and then qualifying third today, but didn't quite have the race pace. So we're going to have a look through the data when we get back and see what we could have improved as a race car. Really encouraging, both cars at the pointy end. I think if it was a race in the day time Car 10 would have had a bit better result. Once it got dark, it didn't quite have the same balance. We'll roll on to the next round, but overall a really, really positive weekend for the whole team.”
